All Time Highs...
The Nasdaq100 as well as the US500 are at all time highs, the Dow added 0.5% yesterday, the S&P 500 also 0.5% and the Nasdaq 0.75%. Strong retail sales and solid earnings boosted sentiment, Pepsico added 7.5%m United Airlines 3.1%, TSMC rose 3.4%.
Netflix and Interactive brokers beat expectations after the close and Netflix`and Interactive`s stocks rose to an all time highs.
US Yields retreat a little, the 30 year is back below the 5% and the 10s off the 4.5%, this weakens the USD, the Index is 98.55, EURUSD 1.1620, GBPUSD 1.3415, USDJPY 148.75. Bitcoin is back above the 120k and Gold and Silver are 3333 and 38.15. Platinum rose to 1460 and is testing the 2014 high
Slowakia gave up it`s block of new EU sanctions against Russia.
There is little on the agenda today until we receive the University of Michigan data at 1600 CET.
US Political news are likely to remain center stage with Trump failing to end the topic of the Epstein files.
Tensions in the middle east remain high and possible news from tariff negotiations have the potential to move markets at any point in time.
Today is either a calm day or an erratic one, be careful and consider the use of options for directional bets or hedging.
On Monday the Chinese rate decision is the only significant economic release.
